Install

Windsurf reads MCP servers from mcp_config.json (or Settings → Cascade → MCP).

Steps

  1. Open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json (or Settings → Cascade → MCP → Add).
  2. Add the industrylens entry with its serverUrl (see the block above).
  3. Refresh/restart Cascade so the server registers.

Verify it worked

Cascade lists industrylens under MCP; ask "Find competitors for clay.com".

  • “Give me a competitive profile of ramp.com.”

Troubleshooting

Server not listed

Confirm valid JSON and serverUrl is exactly https://api.industry-lens.com/mcp/public; refresh MCP in Cascade settings.

Older Windsurf

Update Windsurf — remote (serverUrl) MCP support needs a recent build.

Tools ignored

Ask an explicitly competitive question so Cascade reaches for the tools.
