Add IndustryLens to Perplexity and pull competitive intel into any thread.

Custom MCP connectors are on Perplexity Pro and Max (launched March 2026). Connectors are account-level, so they follow you across Perplexity.

Open Perplexity settings ↗

MCP server URL

https://api.industry-lens.com/mcp/public

Steps

Click your profile icon (bottom-left) → Settings → Connectors.
Add a custom connector and paste the MCP server URL:

```
Authentication: open / none for the public tier. Save.
Reference IndustryLens in a thread to use it.

Verify it worked

IndustryLens shows under Settings → Connectors; ask "Give me a competitive profile of apollo.io".

“Give me a competitive profile of ramp.com.”

Troubleshooting

No custom connector option

Custom remote MCP connectors require Perplexity Pro or Max — the free tier cannot add them.

Connector added but unused

Mention IndustryLens or ask an explicitly competitive question so it reaches for the tools.

Auth fields

Choose open / none — the public tier needs no key.
