Install

Grok added “Bring Your Own MCP” in May 2026 on paid tiers. Connectors are account-level and work in Grok on web, iOS and Android.

Open Grok settings ↗

MCP server URL

https://api.industry-lens.com/mcp/public

Steps

Open grok.com/connectors and click New Connector.
Choose Custom, then paste the MCP server URL:

```
Complete auth (none for the public tier) and save.
Ask Grok a competitive question to use it.

Verify it worked

IndustryLens shows under Connectors; ask "What recent moves has Outreach made?".

“Give me a competitive profile of ramp.com.”

Troubleshooting

No "Custom" / MCP option

Bring-Your-Own-MCP is on Grok’s paid tiers. Free Grok cannot add a custom MCP server yet.
