Install

Le Chat supports custom MCP connectors on all plans (free included). Connectors are account-level.

Open Mistral settings ↗

Steps

  1. Open Le Chat → side panel → Intelligence → Connectors.
  2. Click + Add Connector → switch to the Custom MCP Connector tab.
  3. Name it IndustryLens and paste the server URL:
    https://api.industry-lens.com/mcp/public
  4. Authentication: No authentication (public tier). Save.

Verify it worked

IndustryLens shows under Connectors; ask "Who competes with apollo.io?".

Try these prompts

  • “Who competes with apollo.io?”
  • “What did Clay recently change in its go-to-market?”
  • “Give me a competitive profile of ramp.com.”
  • “List recent strategic moves for ZoomInfo.”
  • “Find competitors for cognism.com.”

Troubleshooting

No "Custom MCP Connector" tab

Free users are admins by default; on a team you may need an admin to allow custom connectors.

Auth options

Choose "No authentication" for the public tier — Le Chat also supports Bearer/OAuth for the account server.

Tools ignored

Ask an explicitly competitive question so Le Chat reaches for the tools.
